Tanglewood TAB1CE No. 1

I made this guitar out of what I believe to be a 2015 English made Tanglewood TAB1CE in outstanding condition.  This guitar shows very little sign of use. It has a beautiful abalone inlay on the headstock and has the feel of a Martin. I have finished it with a sound port and chrome tuners. In my opinion this is among the very best sounding I have made to date and I will make more if I can. I got a really great deal on the bass so I am selling it on eBay without a case for $549. At the time of this writing I do have a used hard case available for an additional $75 plus shipping. Sold - Thanks John!

I made this guitar out of what I believe to be a 2005 Michael Kelly Dragonfly in outstanding condition.  This guitar shows very little sign of use and I saw no imperfections while converting it. It has a beautiful mother-of-pearl inlay on the headstock, a gorgeous abalone rosette, and an amazing vine and dragonfly inlaid neck. I have finished it with a sound port and chrome tuners. Lucida No. 1

I have been asked on several occasions if I could make a 12 string baritone, or an 8 string baritone, or a baritone with a wider neck. This instrument will do all of these things. I built it for myself as a proof of concept before making more. But it turned out so well that I can’t keep it for myself. Since I got a deal on it, it is likely to be the least expensive of its kind if I make more.

I made this instrument out of a Lucida LG-BS1-G bajo sexto blem of unknown year. It is currently strung as a baritone 12 string tuned A-A. The bottom 8 strings are in octave pairs and the top 4 strings are unison pairs – just like a regular 12 only tuned down a 5th. It does have a small finish issue at the binding on the top lower bout that I have pictured. It is a color issue – the finish is smooth. It also has a couple of light scratches on the back.

It has a sound port and I can string and set this guitar up as a 12, 8, or 6 string guitar – it’s up to you. I am selling this guitar on eBay for $449 without a case.

Specifications:

Scale Length:                25 ½ inches
Nut Width:                    2 ¼ inches
Total Length:                40 ½ inches
Body Length:                19 ¾ inches
Upper Bout Width:       11 inches
Lower Bout Width        15 ¼ inches
Body Depth:                   4 ½ inches

Features:

  • Spruce Top
  • Mahogany Back & Sides
  • Rosewood Fretboard
  • 4-Band EQ Pickup
  • Multi-Colored Rosette

Alvarez RB30 No. 11

I made this baritone from what I believe is a 2002 Alvarez RB-30 NAT that is just beginning to age wonderfully. It does have a few dings on the top that I have tried to picture. They are pretty small but noticeable. It has a scratch or two on the back and on the sides that I saw in reflection while I was converting it but they are insignificant and I can’t picture them. It has beautiful but understated inlays on the headstock and rosette and I have finished it with a sound port and gold tuners. These Alvarez baritones are among the best sounding that I make and among the most praised by their owners. This instrument’s sustain is incredible. I am selling it without a case for $499 and as of this writing I do have a hard case available for an additional $75. Sold - Thanks James!

Ibanez AEB45-LG No. 2

I made this baritone guitar out of what I believe to be a lightly used Korean made 1998 Ibanez AEB45-LG in excellent condition.  It has one nick in the finish on the top below the bridge at the 6th string – likely made by a ball end. Other than that I found no flaws. It has a thinner body than many of my guitars but the sound and projection does not seem to suffer from it when played acoustically. This is a beautiful guitar that is beginning to age very nicely. I have finished it with chrome tuners and a sound port. I am selling it on eBay for $399 with no case. As of this writing I do have a hard case available for an additional $75. Vern's Guitar.

Austin BCA3 No. 1

I made this baritone guitar out of what I believe to be a 2008 Austin BCA3 that is in very nearly perfect condition. I found only small signs of use when I was converting it. This guitar is huge and sounds as good as any guitar I make. I can’t find any information on this model on the internet. I believe that the top is a spruce laminate and the back, sides and neck are mahogany. It appears to have a rosewood fingerboard and rosewood bridge and it has a beautiful mother of pearl inlay on the headstock. I put in a new bone nut and saddle and I have finished it with chrome hardware and a sound port. I it has a Q-PH active EQ preamp that sounds great plugged in. I am selling this guitar on eBay for $449 without a case. As of this writing I do have a used hard shell case in very good condition available for an additional $75.Kevin's Guitar

Michael Kelly Club Custom No. 16

I made this baritone from what I believe is a 2010 Michael Kelly Club Custom 4N in great condition. The only imperfection I noticed was a hairline crack in the finish just below the bridge. It is not visible without looking for it. Other than that, this instrument shows very few signs of use. It has a beautiful mother-of-pearl inlay on the headstock and a gorgeous abalone rosette. I have finished it with a sound port and chrome tuners. In my opinion this is one of the most beautiful guitars I make and is among the very best sounding I make as well. All of my customers buying this model love theirs. I got a really great deal on the bass so I am selling it on eBay without a case for $579. Luna LAB Tribal No. 1

I made this baritone from what I believe to be a 2015 Luna LAB30 Tribal in very good condition. I saw no flaws when I converted it other than a very small ding on the top front of the headstock. You might be able to notice it in the pictures, maybe not. This is my smallest guitar to date other than the Alvarez MSB-1s that I have made but it puts out a lot of sound. It can be played anywhere between A-A and E-E like a normal guitar depending on the strings used and whether or not it is played amplified. I have finished it with a bone nut and saddle, gold tuners, and a sound port. I am selling it on eBay with no case for $479. As of this writing I do not have a case that will fit it properly but I may by the time of sale. If I do, it will be an additional $75. Sold - Thanks Norm!
